ANIMAL CROSSING EXHIBIT APRIL 4 - MAY 16

April 4, 2013

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“ANIMAL CROSSING”

ART EXHIBITION DATES: April 4 to May 16, 2013

Brew Gallery is pleased to present our 21st exhibition, Animal Crossing, featuring the paintings of Kelowna artists Kristen Amy Cresswell and Katarina Delisimunovic, and the printed digital compositions of Armstrong artist Michael Sturdy. 'Hat Man at the Animal Crossing', a digital collage by Sturdy, appears to exemplify that proverbial area of thought, dream, and reflection known as 'the crossroads'. In his picture, common and exotic animals occupy the public space along with the hat man who carries an abundant stack of hats. The art exhibit is a colourful gathering of the three artists work, based largely on the animal theme ranging from Delisimunovic's 'Running Fox' to Cresswell's 'Rhino Against the Metro'. Also on display are additional selections by the three artists.

Brew Gallery continues with a mandate to be inclusive of diversity, create opportunities and promotion for artists, thus enabling meaningful connections with the community. To date, Brew Gallery has presented twenty-one art exhibitions featuring fifty-five artists from the Okanagan and across Canada.

Animal Crossing is on display at Brew Gallery from April 4 to May 16. Brew Gallery is located in Downtown Vernon inside the Bean To Brew Coffee House, next door to the Vernon Public Art Gallery. Brew Gallery hours are 8:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday.
